Parasites In Parliament Gnaw At The Hands That Feed Australia.

Convoys of fire trucks filled with Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteers, farmers, and career firefighters from Gippsland to Horsham, and Wagga to Warnambool flocked to Melbourne’s CBD along with thousands of supporters to gather outside Victoria’s Parliament House on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to protest the newly introduced Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund (ESVF) levy.

The levy is set to replace the existing Fire Services Property Levy (FSPL) from July 1, 2025, which aims to fund a broader range of emergency services. This new levy (ESVF) is predicted to more than double compared to the previous (FSPL) and is dependent on a property’s Capital Improved Value (CIV).

The rally itself was a success if only managing to bring the people together. For the first time in a long time, Melbourne’s CBD was rich with testosterone and felt wonderfully safe. Men in uniform stood like gentlemen, watching as politicians made promises they knew they couldn’t keep. It was truly heartbreaking to hear the people chanting passionately, “Scrap the Tax”. The vulnerable and honorable most affected by government incompetence and financial mismanagement, told stories of life on the farm and of working as volunteers. The dedication, commitment and courage required in no way exists in the House of Parliament. Today, we have a bureaucracy that exists to destroy lives, threatening to tax them into oblivion.

The people are angry and mainly concerned by the increased financial strain on already struggling farmers and rural communities. Not only do they have to contend with the introduction of this new levy by the parasitical Labour Government, but Victorian farmers and rural communities are currently facing a drought while feeling pressure from the state to meet renewable energy goals. As we speak, they are already rolling out a program to impose transmission lines on private properties in rural Victoria. The people literally have no water, while Jacinta Allen calls for them to drink wine. She has been doing nothing but gnawing at the very hands that feed Australia.

There are also concerns that the spirit of Australia is being lost to unionized and government-backed career firefighters and emergency service employees. The CFA in Victoria, Australia, was established in 1945 to create an organized, volunteer-based rural firefighting service. Its main aims are to protect lives and property from fire and other emergencies, promote fire safety education and prevention, and assist in major emergencies like floods, car accidents, and industrial incidents. It is one of the largest volunteer-based services worldwide. This should stand as a credit to our country, and highlight Australia’s community spirit of resilience and mateship. It is a community which for years has supported itself through fundraising, donations, community support and corporate grants. They don’t need government’s hand in their pockets, nor do they need its interference.

Firefighters and emergency service workers are determined to keep the rallies continuing for as long as necessary or until government abolishes the tax. It is a sad day indeed when the bread and butter of our country feels forced to threaten food from leaving the farms as an effort to pressure fat cats in parliament to meet their requests. Let’s hope and pray it never comes down to that.

Let Women Have Biological Women Only Spaces

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Genesis 1:27 NKJV

The Let Women Speak rally in Melbourne on Saturday, April 26, 2025, organized by Women’s Voices Australia, took place on the steps of Parliament House. The event featured speakers such as ex-police officer Krystle Mitchell and West Australian MP Sophia Moermond. The rally opposed the Victorian government’s proposed expansion of anti-vilification laws to include protections for the LGBTQIA+ community, expressing concerns over gender ideology and its implications for women’s rights.

It was refreshing to finally see Victoria Police were more organised having cordoned off the area, preventing mentally ill Transtifa mobs from getting up close, loud and personal with biological women. This time the women and their issues could be heard loudly and clearly. This should be a natural expectation which comes from living in a western democratic country, the right to speak freely and without persecution.

Women spoke at length regarding the expansion of Victoria’s anti-vilification laws which will make it illegal for anyone to state biological facts. This law comes at the expense of women only spaces being invaded by transwomen, (men pretending to be women). Under said law, we face seeing women’s prisons, toilets, change rooms, sports, clubs etc. easily infiltrated by men dressed as women as is already the case.

One example, the case of Grover versus Tickle in which Sally Grover designed a women’s only platform, Giggle for Girls allowing women only to search for female room mates amongst other services. Roxanne Tickle a transgender woman managed to infiltrate the platform but was quickly removed for not being a biological woman.

Sally Grover was found in breach of the Sex Discrimination Act, 1984 indirectly discriminating against Tickle on the basis of gender and made to pay 10k in damages. She is in the process of appealing the judgement, as she should.

Another story was told of transgender women invading lesbian spaces. The idea that a transwoman would even be interested in lesbian spaces sounds like a sinister joke but allegedly, it’s happening!

The horror stories poured out by parents whose young children are being mentally abused by school administrators affirming their confusion over sex at birth. With no thought or consideration for children’s safety, immaturity or the parent’s role in their own children’s lives, they are being placed on hormone blockers simply because they suffer identity crises.

Trans activist abusive hand gesture.

Overall, the event was a success with only a few isolated issues at the end by the mentally ill transmob in which police had to intervene with pepper spray, but otherwise no one was physically hurt.

Let’s hope the Victorian government seek to protect gender confused children’s and biological women’s rights when enacting legislation such as these. It almost beggars belief that they allow these laws to pass. It makes one wonder if anyone is actually reading the fine print. It proves my point that parliamentarians have waxed cold, useless and weak. They do not care for the people, they only care about their cushy jobs and eventual retirement package. They are Australia’s largest welfare recipients and should be cancelled along with all their unjust laws.

The Psychology Behind Oz’s Homegrown Terrorist

“Are People Born Wicked? Or Do They Have Wickedness Thrust Upon Them?”

Glinda, Wicked

The Wicked movie is based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It is a prequel to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, written by L Frank Baum in 1900 and tells the back story of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba. Whilst the story itself is entertaining and funny in parts, Maguire explores the concept of evil in the character of Elphaba. The nature of her conception and skin color give rise to preconceived notions about her character. Maguire looks at how the system through self-fulfilling prophecy can thrust individuals into boxes. The underlying premise being, without a firm foundation in Christ, we are nothing but hackable characters, mere pawns on a chessboard easily manipulated and programmable according to the system’s desires.

Elphaba was born from her mother’s affair with a traveling salesman. Her mother’s husband (non-biological father) rejects her instantly because of her green skin, leading to neglect from her mother as well. Plagued by deep insecurity, feelings of worthlessness, and distrust, Elphaba is profoundly affected by her family’s abandonment. She is a product of her circumstances, judged by her skin color and her mother’s infidelity. Society’s treatment of her is equally cruel, subjecting her to constant rejection and ridicule.

Elphaba is also born with special powers which manifest when she feels anger and fear. She is powerless against them and has not yet learned to deal with them consciously. One could argue, her magical powers are coping mechanisms for unresolved abandonment trauma.

Elphaba’s special powers and skin colour attract the interest of Madame Morrible the Dean of Sorcery at Shiz University. Morrible takes her on as an apprentice in order to train Elphaba into controlling her powers, and channel them more effectively for the benefit of the land Oz. Elphaba is eager to work under Morrible’s tutelage as she believes this will gain favour from the all-powerful, benevolent Wizard whom she hopes will rid her of the colour of her skin.

In stark contrast to Elphaba, there is Galinda the “good” and popular character. She is labelled as such because of her fair skin, beauty and basically “normal” appearance. She is also seen as attempting to befriend Elphaba at the start of the film hence acquiring the “good” label. Surrounding them are a host of mindless sheep who recoil at Elphaba’s presence yet reluctantly accept her only because the popular Galinda feels sorry for her. In a heartbreaking moment of the film, we see the two characters engage in a dance, symbolizing an effort at mutual understanding and unity. It’s an emotional sequence that instills hope in viewers about the possibilities when individuals embrace humility and vulnerability.

Unfortunately, the system could not allow the two to genuinely reconcile their differences. In a series of events, Elphaba realises quickly that the Wizard is a pathological megalomaniacal Luciferian with no real powers of his own. He offers her a safe place and sense of belonging only to exploit her magical powers for his own nefarious agenda. It is also later discovered that he is Elphaba’s illegitimate father. Little wonder he goes from adulterer salesman to deceitful, treacherous dictator. Elphaba refuses to take part in her father’s schemes and decides to go rogue. She is forever destined to be enemy of the state, a terrorist to be used for the glory of Oz and its Wizard.

“The Best Way to Bring Folks Together Is To Give Them A Real Good Enemy.”

The Wizard Of Oz

The movie concludes with Elphaba riding off on a broomstick to the tune, Defying Gravity. It is a symbolic liturgical performance of lyrical prose and physical prowess, portraying her as a loose cannon being tossed every witch (pun intended) way by the powers that be. The audience will see this as Elphaba liberating herself from the system’s oppression and abuse, however what they fail to understand is that she is further enslaving herself. Ultimately, she becomes no better than her father, imprisoned by the label attributed to her from birth. Galinda on the other hand, chooses to stay behind as the “good” citizen and work with the state as controlled opposition, also accepting her destiny.

The story speaks of a system set up to manipulate individuals into doing its bidding. By capitalising on their weaknesses, vulnerabilities, narcissistic tendencies and mental illnesses the system creates its own slaves and enemies to give itself and its flying monkey spies, legitimacy. It is set up to divide the masses under the guise of uniting them. It lies to the people on a daily basis from the time of birth to accept their sinful natures and everyone else’s.

Diversity, equity and inclusion is the rocky foundation from which it hails. It propagates the lie that diversity is our strength, through the fake stream media and the degenerate entertainment industry. However, all it does is cause more division. Society cannot be forced into accepting the “other” as we saw in the case of Elphaba. She was rejected and cast out because of the obvious differences and severe psychological issues. The color of her skin was a manifestation of this difference. She stood out as something neither she nor the masses could ever understand. Enemies of the state are found in the depths of their own psychological trauma, forced into isolation and victimized to the point of becoming home-grown terrorists.

Eventually, Elphaba goes on to become the wicked witch, living up to expectations and her own inherent evil. She could be anyone of us, plagued with all kinds of mental health issues and the cycle of intergenerational sin. It would have been refreshing to see her refuse the labels, seek help for her maladaptive spergish behavior and become a better person. It would have also been nice to see Galinda step outside her comfort zone and leverage her popularity to challenge the evil Wizard and his accomplice Morrible, in a revolutionary way. However, it is a well-known fact that dismantling existing power structures often leads to the emergence of another, potentially more corrupt, system. Without a strong identity in Christ, people will simply fall into the traps set up by the powers that be. People need Jesus.

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.”

Vigil for Hostages: Remembering the 7th of October 2023 Attack on Israel

“In Israel, in order to be a realist, you must believe in miracles.”

David Ben-Gurion

On Sunday 6th October 2024, a vigil took place for the hostages held by the proscribed terrorist group, Hamas, following their attack on Israel, a year ago on October 7th. On this day, Hamas breached the Israeli border, committing numerous violent acts, including the rape of 1200 Israelis, and the abuse of over 250 hostages. In a particularly heinous act, they also publicized their crimes for the world to see. Yet you won’t hear about that on the nightly news. Instead, Israel is painted as the antagonist in the Middle East, alleging it is continuously bombing Gaza and neighboring areas.

The truth is, since that egregious assault on Israel and its civilians, Israel has responded by targeting key locations in Gaza, aiming to compel Hamas to release the hostages. This small strip of land known for its daily practice of democracy and freedom, stands out as a beacon in the region as a place where individuals can freely express their values and beliefs without the fear of severe persecution. Whilst it appears to be winning the war militarily, it’s getting a lot of negative attention worldwide. Violent pro-Palestinian protests occur almost daily on the streets of almost every major city globally. Jews no longer feel safe walking the streets for fear of random attacks on their personhood. It seems people simply do not want Israel or the Jewish people to exist.

Even the location of Sunday’s vigil was kept confidential to prevent the risk of anti-Semitic protests as there were many elderly, families and young children present. It’s heartbreaking to think that in a country like Australia, known for its liberal democracy, there are those who wish to do harm towards individuals based on their ethnicity or religion. It is unAustralian. Hatred of this kind has no place anywhere in the world, least of all in Australia. Regardless of one’s stance on the issue, violence should never be tolerated on our streets. Advocating for the death or harm of others is unacceptable and those who do so should face appropriate consequences.

If Israel cannot exist and defend itself, where should the Jewish people live and call home? From a worldly perspective, it deserves the right to be left alone. It has proven itself strong, independent, peaceful (when left alone) democratic and Westernised. If might is right, then Israel is right. Taking down Israel will require great strength and strategic prowess. Its fortitude grows by the day.

From a spiritual perspective, sadly for its enemies, God is still for Israel. It will not fall unless God allows it and the temple is rebuilt in Jerusalem. Until that day comes, Am Yisrael Chai.

Women Will Speak Where Men Allow Them

“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
― C.S. Lewis

The Women WILL Speak (WWS) rally on Saturday 17th August kicked off to an entertaining start (yet again) on a cold and dreary winterish Melbourne afternoon. Unsurprisingly, Transtifa turned up with all their bells and whistles plus a side ordered Palestinian flag relentlessly vying for attention in the background.

The WWS organization is made up of First and possibly, Second Wave feminists, who decided years ago they didn’t need men, children, bras or the kitchen. Feminism shifted the Overton Window when women stormed out of their kitchens to turn society upside down, so they could sit at the decision-making table with men and share in their power. Little did they know their ideas would spiral out of control devolving into what we are seeing today in Transtifa. Talk about creating monsters. Unfortunately, this is to be expected when people desire to live outside of God’s intended paradigm wherein everyone has a place.

The WWS attendance was small, and much as I wished they could have taken up more space, they were relegated to the bottom most corner of Parliament House steps. Unfortunately, their message fell on mostly deaf ears as the louder, more aggressive mob on the other side did everything they could to drown their voices. It was difficult to hear anything if you weren’t paying attention. There was just a lot of noise, shouting and music.

Maybe Transtifa has a method to their madness, but one thing is for sure, they are lost souls who don’t really know much about much. All I know is they make good entertainers, and their music choice is surprisingly, not bad. They even had me dancing to their beats. Interestingly, they had a selection of songs with clearly defined genders whilst holding a number of banners which read things like, “Any body can be any gender,” and “No binaries”. As usual, they didn’t think through their slogans properly as “Dancing Queen” by ABBA blared from their speakers.

Despite what Transtifa says, I refuse to allow them to hijack a classic. Dancing Queen is literally about a girl dancing provocatively on the dance floor looking for a guy. It was meant to be a love song written by two heterosexual men Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson in 1975. It is not about a tranny queen gyrating on the dance floor deceiving men. But alas, the circus in which we live is led by clowns who love deconstructing cultural norms and redefining terms to suit their narrative. We’ve heard it all before and hear it time and time again. It’s been written into the education system, political system, entertainment industry and mass media. They are bombarding half-brained, system zombies with their filth, and no one but Jesus can stop them.

Thankfully, there was a strong police presence which managed to keep the feral trans activists at bay, though one was still able to breach police lines, not to mention the fruit and eggs which were hurled across so effortlessly, almost hitting police officers and elderly women, such as myself. It was by divine intervention alone that we didn’t get splattered by eggshells and orange juice. Let’s hope the police have a plan for future rally projectiles, who knows what they’ll throw at the people next. Thanks to a police force dominated by men who all know their place, under their guidance and protection, the WWS attendees and I were able to speak.

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Justice Cries Out In The Streets.

“Justice consists not in being neutral between right and wrong, but in finding out the right and upholding it, wherever found, against the wrong.” –

Theodore Roosevelt

On Saturday 17th February 2024, a group of freedom activists gathered out front of Victoria Police Headquarters at Spencer Street Melbourne to rally against police corruption and government injustice. It was led by a man known by the name of “Samson” and Nick “Banjo” Patterson who Victoria Police is still prosecuting. They shared many stories of cases now being held in court against VicPol and the Australian Government to investigate the injustices imposed on the people by COVID-19 restrictions and mandates.

Broadly speaking, justice is the idea that individuals are treated with equity and fairness. A society in which justice is practiced, should be one in which individuals receive their just reward. What this looks like for many differs, leaving us with the perpetual conundrum of how we navigate a society wherein the legislation and implementation of laws are driven by various moral values and religious beliefs.

In a Christian society, justice comes from God and whilst those in power do their best to write just laws, they will always be lacking as only God can judge righteously. Even Christians were painfully divided on how to deal with oppressive Covid19 restrictions. Justice for one seemed like oppression to another. It was a unique time for us all. We all followed by faith, what we believed to be right based on our consciences and convictions, and how we interpreted the scriptures.

One of the many divisive weapons implemented at this time was the definition of “essential”. Essential personnel and services became a fluid term thrown around loosely. To the Baphomet-worshipping globalists, bottle shops were essential, but churches were not. Visiting brothels and “safe” injecting rooms was essential, but visiting the elderly and going to funerals was not. The injustice reeked to high heaven. “Essential” was wide open to interpretation. We had “essential workers” puffed up with delusional self-importance throwing their weight around within their minute departments, making it difficult for the already suffering people to navigate through oppressive, bureaucratic red tape. Then we had the “covid cops”.

Whatever side you stood on the divide, there’s no denying the police handled freedom protesters with disproportionate and unnecessary force. Many now live with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and numerous physical health issues. Matt Lawson spoke of the injuries he endured due to allegedly, being shot point blank with rubber bullets, rupturing his abdomen, and causing internal bleeding. All because he stood peacefully on the frontlines during an anti-lockdown rally. Another man had his back broken due to unnecessary police violence. There are countless stories of people who were treated with excessive force by power-tripping police officers.

Many believed enforcing government mandates and complying with restrictions was the just thing to do, many did not. As a result, we have seen a mass exodus of tenured police officers from VicPol due to having witnessed such heavy-handed tactics by their colleagues. Many are speaking out today, as in the case of former Senior Sergeant Nick Terry who also revealed an overwhelming number of officer suicides. LGBTQIA+ interference and government overreach also being the main reasons for the decline in officer quality.

Today we have violent anti-Australia Day protesters screaming for the abolition of king and country and instead of “upholding the right” in combatting these violent Antifa protesters, they apply passive “keep the peace” stand-down tactics. Not to mention just recently, a gay Sydney police officer, Constable Beau Lamarre allegedly murdered a young gay couple in a jealous rage, using his police-issue firearm. He had only just joined the police force in 2019. These actions should warrant a complete internal and external investigation into recruitment and training processes. There are many more examples of police corruption and vigilante-like “law enforcement”, that would require a thesis, a thing I personally have no time to write, though someone should!

The fact is, the Australian Police needs an overhaul and justice needs redefining by legislators. The people are angry, and rightly so. If the police force continues to lose quality officers and angry people grow in number, who knows what the potential effects on society this could bring? One need only look at California as an example of what our future looks like.

For the Christian, the future is bright because no matter where we stand on the great divide, we stand on Christ and though we may get things wrong occasionally, in Christ we are always right because we fight the good fight.

“And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”

The Xmas Grinch and Grind

“It came without ribbons, it came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags.”

The Grinch

Christmas is supposed to be a special time of year when we remember the birth of Jesus Christ. Many do this by going to church or hosting family gatherings. Gift giving and decking out a festive feast for the mouth and eyes is always fun but realistically, it is also a lot of work and can be financially stressful for those doing it tough. There can be a lot of pressure to make everything perfect and honestly, it can rob many of the peace and joy Christmas should bring. Every year, many determine to keep it simple and focus on Christ, but this fake xmas paradigm continues to draw us in, giving birth to Grinches and grinders globally.

The Grinch is a children’s film based on the book by Dr Seuss about a sad, grumpy, cynical man who lives on the outskirts of a town named Whoville. His contempt for xmas sets him on a mission to destroy everything about it. Although his idea of Christmas is completely wrong, thinking that by tearing away at extravagant decorations and presents, he could cancel it forever. But there’s Xmas and then there’s Christmas.

The Grinch represents many of us at this time of year, though it would be easy to point our fingers at him and think him a miserable man hell-bent on raining on our parades. But how many of us grind into Christmas to consume upon our own lusts and desires to rob it of its true meaning. Like the Grinch, we have no understanding of it, replacing Christ with X, the excessive consumption of food and unnecessary material goods, gadgets, and fictitious do-gooders.

The hijacking of Christmas started years ago with the advent of Santa, a supposed saint who allegedly gifted poor children globally. Today we have Elf on the Shelf, “Santa’s helper”, the judge and jury of xmas woe. He is perched on children’s bookshelves and allegedly keeps a close watch on their behaviour reporting back to “Santa” with xmas credits for the good little people of the world. He is a pseudo psyop for the coming years’ eventual roll out of AI generated spy cams everywhere.

Without fail, Christmas almost always becomes a time of contention for the privileged. The issues of who will host it, how much the budget should be for gifts, when and where blah, blah, blah. I’m sure many of you know the drill. What should be a simple time of gathering together and sharing a meal to remember the true gift of Christmas becomes all about us.We get so caught up in ourselves that we forget that this can be a very sad and lonely time for many. Those separated from family through death or rejection can feel the pain and loss all over again.

This year we decided to host an “early Christmas” as we decided to take off and avoid the crazy. To be honest, we really just wanted to spend time with our children and enjoy their company before they all start their new lives around the country. Personally, it was an emotional time as most of them are older with partners whose families are scattered across the country. My growing family is a blessing, but it does take the simplicity out of organising special events.

Reflecting upon the very first Christmas when Jesus was born, it actually wasn’t what we make it today. It was a census year and many were asked to return to the lands from which they came. Joseph and Mary were in transit hence Jesus was born en route, in a stable.

“And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.”

Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭3‬

They weren’t in a fancy decked out place, gorging themselves on overpriced xmas roasts or plum puddings. They were in a stable surrounded by animals and strangers, sojourners from around the globe, paying homage to a baby, our Lord and Saviour. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with being in a special place with those you love, but perspective and gratitude is key.

Jesus is the reason for the season. So if you find yourself feeling a little alienated or dejected this Christmas, (or at any time for that matter) because the Grinches and grinders want to sabotage your peace and joy in Christ, be reminded of the circumstances surrounding his birth and life. Jesus was also rejected and found in places many wouldn’t dream of going, fraternizing with people you wouldn’t expect, drinking wine and breaking bread.

Let’s think of those that are broken, the marginalized, forgotten, needy and homeless. Reach out to them or if nothing else, just reflect on Christ, God’s fearful and amazing gift to us all. Make Him the centre of everything we do. One could argue we stole Christmas this year, but I think we just took it back.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Stones We Throw At Ourselves And Others

“But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.””
‭‭

Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/114/luk.11.15.NKJV

People like to throw stones. I don’t mean that literally, although it could be literal as it happened to Jesus and countless others in the Bible. But today, most people use the powerful tactic known as “character assasination”. A means whereby they do everything in their power to tear down your reputation. They use slanderous words and hurl them all around for anyone naive enough to listen.

I’m sure we have all at some point fallen victim to a few stones hurled our way or maybe we have been stone throwers. Metaphorically speaking, stones are judgements or accusations about how we are living in Christ. Maybe you’re the type of person who enjoys giving gifts because you take pleasure in seeing joy in people’s faces but you’re accused of seeking approval. You may feel strongly about helping those in need but you’re accused of being patronizing and self-righteous. Maybe you like to try and build people up with positive words but are seen as a people pleaser. Sometimes people deliberately misunderstand your intentions or take your words out of context to the point where nothing you say or do is right.

If you have had to endure any or all of the above accusations and you’re tired from dodging stones, faint not. Neither should you grow weary. Jesus was accused of much worse. He was accused of being the devil’s tool and a hypocrite when all He was doing was God’s work. If they hated Him, they will hate you. I’m not talking about people who do drugs and jail time, I’m talking about those of our own household, and members of our congregation.

The Pharisees accused Jesus of healing by the power of the devil. They were envious of Him and the growing influence He had on the people. They were hell bent on discrediting Him so as to keep the people’s loyalty and themselves in power. They called him hypocrite because He didn’t care for their self righteous rule-keeping, and religiosity. He worked on the sabbath and went whenever and wherever He was required. He sat with sinners, mingled with lepers and offered salvation to Gentiles.

When I first found Christ, all I wanted was to please Him and become part of His body. Unfortunately, I thought this meant listening to more mature Christians as to how to “be” in Christ. I wanted to belong in the church family. I wanted my children to have a safe place wherein they could grow up surrounded by godly families. I towed the line, learned Christianese and jumped through church hoops like a good godly girl should. Until it finally dawned on me that those supposedly more mature Christians’ corrections were coming in more frequently and fast becoming accusations to the point I could do nothing right. I soon realized they had less to do with my spiritual growth and more to do with their insecurities and desire to control me.

In a crazy (and likely ungodly) attempt to throw off those shackles, I decided to be myself in (whom I thought was) Christ. So I stopped walking on egg shells and decided to speak truth no matter how harsh those truths came across. To hell with easily offended Christians and people. I’ll say what I believe and the world can just deal. We are not to be easily offended, right? I felt empowered, like an oppressed woman stepping out of the kitchen for the first time, swinging bra in hand and torch in the other. I was going to show the world and all them judgy Christians who Jesus really was. Don’t laugh.

When a genuine, authentic Christian is walking in Christ, their spirit will already be persecuting itself. We know when we’ve done something wrong before anyone says anything, we are already throwing stones at ourselves. With the actual devil constantly throwing darts, combined with convictions by the Holy Spirit, dodging darts and stones becomes a bloody warfare. We need all the strength we can muster from Christ and fellow believers to extend grace for our flaws, and encourage us rather than destroy us.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

(‭‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Sadly after that initial experience, I went to the other extreme, I hurt many people, possibly genuine, caring brethren. I spoke many truths harshly and unashamedly, shamefully. I realise that now, and am working towards restoration, forgiveness and compassion. Praying I can strike that perfect balance one day of speaking truth forthrightly and in love. Growing and dying in Christ is a daily/minutely process, and some days, I fail miserably because habits are formed over time. We’re all a work in progress, the important thing is to stay humble and open to the spirit of Christ. Some of us are John the Baptists, others are Peters, many are Paul and sadly, we’re all surrounded by and can sometimes be Judases.

We can all be accusatory and judgemental, thinking we are the benevolent other of modern Christianity. The Christs of the world bestowing our goodness and corrections upon the heathens and babes. But it takes humility to take a good actual Christlike look at ourselves in line with the Bible, and ask, why am i doing this, for whom and how should I do/say this? Basically ask, what would Jesus do?

We only need please God. The world and all its opinions are fickle and ever-changing. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His mercy triumphs over judgement. It’s time we stop flinging stones.

What major historical events do you remember?

There are many, but the one I’ll never forget, I suppose because it happened during such a definitive moment in my life. The day Princess Diana died, I was shopping for linen, heavily pregnant to my first born when the announcement came over the loud speaker at the shops.

What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to?

I’ve always liked the idea of being a freelance investigative journalist. The idea of regularly covering news and current affairs live from on the ground really appeals to me. I’ve covered a few local stories and try to be where the action is, however my time is limited and lifestyle doesn’t offer me that flexibility anymore.

Please find attached a sample of my work where I cover the Let Women Speak Rally in Melbourne, Victoria. It was actually fun being in the thick of all the action.
